Zekr: Sorood-e Hasti by Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Modarresi-Yazdi explores the profound spiritual practice of "zikr" or the remembrance of God. This book emphasizes that zikr is the greatest heavenly gift and the most important aspect that God has commanded His servants to engage in, warned against neglecting, and deemed its forgetfulness as unacceptable. The text delves into the various ways zikr is highlighted in the Quran and the sayings of the Infallibles (Ahlulbayt). The author examines the significance, effects, levels, types, conditions, causes, and obstacles of zikr through a detailed study of Quranic verses and prophetic traditions. He frames the book as a testament to his children, relatives, friends, students, and all believers, urging them to understand that true happiness and salvation lie in the remembrance of God.
