Al-bai by Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Modarresi-Yazdi delves into the profound impact of the concept of "sale" (bi'a) on social and economic life. It underscores the significance of understanding bi'a, differentiating it from other contracts, and elucidating its rules to illuminate individual and societal behaviors. The book reflects on the rich heritage of Islamic legal-economic scholarship, with particular emphasis on the esteemed work "Makaseb" by Sheikh Ansari. This seminal work is a culmination of centuries of thought from eminent scholars like Sheikh Mufid, Sheikh Tusi, and Allama Hilli. Modarresi-Yazdi highlights how "Makaseb" has been meticulously analyzed by subsequent scholars, such as Seyyed Yazdi, Mohaghegh Iravani, and Imam Khomeini, each adding layers of interpretation and insight.
