Darius I – The Great Persian king

Darius I – The Great Persian king was the fourth Persian king of the Achaemenid Empire. Darius the Great was the fourth Achaemenid emperor, son of Vishtasp, wife of Atossa and son-in-law of Cyrus the Great. One of his tasks was to dig a waterway that connected the Red Sea to the Nile River and from there to the Mediterranean Sea. After the reign of Darius, all the provinces revolted, and Darius and his allies suppressed the nine kings who fought with him during 19 battles. The inscription of Biston, which is a account of these inexhaustible wars, shows how much his ability to maintain the order and security of the empire was achieved at the cost of his constant and unceasing suffering and effort. If you are looking for Iranian elders this statue “Darius I Bust – The Great Persian king Statue” is a good choice.
