Pourya-ye Vali, was a Persian Sufi and wrestled. The nickname Pouryā-ye Vali has been attributed to Pahlavan Mahmoud in Khwarezm. The location of his tomb is uncertain. He also wrote a book titled Kanz ol-Haghayegh in Persian. Pourya-ye Vali wrestled as a young man and embroidered boots and hats. As a young man, he traveled to various cities in Central Asia, Iran and India and wrestled everywhere and became known as a hero.
