The Radif of Mirza Abdollah For Santoor
Radif Mirza Abdullah is one of the main sources of teaching Radif in Iranian music. This Radif was originally formed according to the structure and techniques of playing the setar, but with its axis by Noor Ali Boroumand, it was also used for other instrumental instruments.
Mirza Abdullah Farahani (1222 solar, Shiraz – 1297 solar), was a prominent master of Iranian music and a famous Tar and Setar Player and a prestigious master musician of the Qajar epoch. He was one of the most influential figures in Iranian music and organized the Radif of Iranian music. Mirza Abdullah, the son of Ali Akbar Farahani, was a Tar player during the reign of Nasser al-Din Shah, and the father of Ahmad Ebadi was a great Setar Player. He received his first education with his older brother Mirza Hassan, and after that he completed his education with his cousin and stepfather Agha Gholam Hossein Farahani, and also taught his younger brother Agha Hosseingholi Farahani.
