The Notebook by José Saramago (Farsi)

Description

The Notebook by José Saramago is a collection of personal reflections, social commentary, and literary observations drawn from the Portuguese Nobel Prize-winning author's blog. Written between 2008 and 2009, the book brings together Saramago's thoughts on politics, society, culture, literature, current events, and the world around him. With his characteristic intelligence, irony, and uncompromising style, Saramago examines contemporary issues while also sharing observations about writers, artists, friends, cities, and everyday life. His writings move naturally between personal impressions, literary criticism, political commentary, and broader reflections on humanity and society. The Notebook offers an intimate view of Saramago's intellectual and political perspective during the final years of his life. It is an engaging collection for readers interested in essays, contemporary social commentary, literary criticism, politics, and the ideas of one of the most influential Portuguese writers of the modern era.
