This book is a historical review from the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah Qajar to Ahmad Shah and deals with the status of court ladies, the king's treatment of them and the state of the harem. The harem consisted of several thousand people, but its internal administration was strict and based on the rank of women. At the top of the hierarchy was the king's mother.
