The first book in the "Captain Underpants" series by Dav Pilkey is titled "The Adventures of Captain Underpants." Published in 1997, this book introduces readers to the whimsical and hilarious world of George Beard and Harold Hutchins, two fourth-grade pranksters with a knack for creative mischief. In "The Adventures of Captain Underpants," George and Harold are not only best friends but also aspiring comic book creators. Their mischievous antics, including numerous pranks at school, often land them in the office of their grumpy principal, Mr. Krupp. In an attempt to avoid being separated into different classes, the boys decide to hypnotize Mr. Krupp using a 3D Hypno-Ring, intending to make him more amenable to their requests.
