Mohsen Sharifian is one of the most prominent musicians and music researchers in the regions of Iran. He is especially famous in the field of southern Iranian music, especially Bushehr music and Bandari music. Sharifian is mostly known for playing the Ney anban, but he has also had extensive activities in the field of research and revival of local music. "Lian" music group, founded by Sharifian, introduces native music of Bushehr inside and outside the country. The album "Siraf" includes pieces that deal with the local music and culture of the Persian Gulf and especially Bushehr. The music of this album has been performed using local and native instruments such as ney anban, damam, ney jofti and percussion instruments and has created a fresh atmosphere.
