"Shahnameh" by Ferdowsi, edited by Jalal Khaleghi-Motlagh, is the most complete and scholarly edition of this Persian epic. Compiled using a highly rigorous academic methodology, this edition ensures the text remains as close as possible to Ferdowsi’s original work. Many interpolated verses, which appear in some manuscripts but were not composed by Ferdowsi, have been carefully removed to maintain the authenticity of the content. As a result, this version is widely regarded as the most accurate and authoritative "Shahnameh" available.
