Shah Abbas
Abbas the Great or Abbas I of Persia was the 5th Safavid Shah of Iran, and is generally considered as one of the greatest rulers of Persian history and the Safavid dynasty. He was the third son of Shah Mohammad Khodabanda. The name of Isfahan is always associated with the name of Shah Abbas and most of the ancient and civil monuments of the city, including reservoirs, materials, bridges, streets, promenades, palaces, mosques, schools, temples, markets and gardens and squares have been registered in the name of Shah Abbas.
