Samad Behrangi

Samad Behrangi was an Iranian teacher, social critic, folklorist, translator, and short story writer of Azerbaijani descent. Samad Behrangi is famous for his children’s books, particularly The Little Black Fish. Behrangi was born on July 23, 1961 in the Charandab neighborhood in the south of the old part of Tabriz in a poor family. His father was Ezzat and his mother was Sarah.
