"Project for a Revolution in New York" (Projet pour une révolution à New York) by Alain Robbe-Grillet is a novel that explores the social and political landscape of New York City through the lens of avant-garde fiction. Published in 1970, it is one of Robbe-Grillet's most experimental and politically charged works. The novel follows the protagonist, Boris, a French expatriate living in New York City, as he navigates the turbulent political climate of the late 1960s. Boris becomes involved with a group of radicals who are planning a revolutionary uprising against the capitalist system. As the group's plans take shape, Boris finds himself drawn into a world of subversion, paranoia, and uncertainty. Robbe-Grillet's prose is characterized by its fragmented structure, nonlinear narrative, and stream-of-consciousness style.
