Amir Kabir

Amir Kabir, also known by the titles of Atabak and Amir-e Nezam was chief minister to Naser al-Din Shah Qajar for the first three years of his reign. Amir Kabir was the founder of the Academy of Arts, which was established in Tehran to teach new knowledge and technologies. His work also includes the publication of the newspaper Vaqiat-e-Etefaqiyah. Amir Kabir was the wife of Ezzat al-Dawla, the sister of Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar. Amir Kabir was assassinated in the Finn Bath by the order of Nasser al-Din Shah after he was removed from his position by the conspiracy of the Shah’s entourage and exiled to Kashan.
