Nightsongs Play by Jon Fosse (Farsi)

Description

Nightsongs by Jon Fosse is a minimalist stage play that explores the tension and fragility within a young couple’s relationship following the birth of their child. The man, increasingly isolated and struggling to have his writing published, withdraws from the world, while his partner grows restless and unhappy with their confined life together. One night she leaves and later returns with another companion, underscoring the emotional distance and disintegration between them. The work’s sparse dialogue, existential mood, and focus on human vulnerability have led to comparisons with Beckett‑style theatre and have made it a significant piece in contemporary drama.
