My Homeland Music Album by Iraj Bastami
Vatane Man or My Homeland is the name of a music album by Iraj Bastami, an Iranian artist, which is produced in a traditional style and has 9 songs. Parviz Meshkatian and Aref Group have also collaborated in making this album. Iraj went to Parviz Meshkatian, the famous composer and musician of Santour, to learn the combination of poetry and music with him and gradually released his first albums with Meshkatian. He also released the album “Vatane Man” in the same period. Iraj’s songs were mostly based on santur and no one reached his skill in long steps.

It consists of characteristics developed through the country’s classical, medieval, and contemporary eras. It also influenced areas and regions that are considered part of Greater Iran. Iraj Bastami, born in 1336, was a singer of Iranian traditional music. From the age of five, he became interested in singing, and his noble uncle, Yadollah Bastami, discovered and nurtured his talent. He passed the introductory course of singing with his uncle, Yadollah Bastami, and after graduating, he came to Tehran and followed the advanced course of singing with Professor Mohammad Reza Shajarian, who left the class after 7 years (in 1999).
