Imagination Dead Imagine Book by Samuel Beckett (Farsi)

Description

Imagination Dead Imagine by Samuel Beckett is a short and highly experimental prose work that explores imagination, consciousness, isolation, and the limits of human existence. First published in French in 1965 and later translated into English by Beckett himself, the text presents an enigmatic scene in which two motionless white bodies lie inside a small, skull-like rotunda surrounded by an otherwise empty black-and-white environment. Through extremely sparse language, repetition, precise physical details, and shifting conditions of light and temperature, Beckett creates a haunting world in which the boundaries between reality, imagination, and consciousness become increasingly uncertain. The seemingly simple setting becomes a profound meditation on the persistence of thought and imagination even as the body approaches stillness and extinction. With its minimalist style, surreal imagery, existential atmosphere, and radical approach to narrative form, Imagination Dead Imagine is a distinctive example of Beckett’s experimental late prose. It offers readers a concentrated exploration of mortality, consciousness, perception, and the paradoxical ability of imagination to contemplate its own disappearance.
