I Am Sindbad You Are The Voyage Play by Naghmeh Samini

Description

I Am Sindbad, You Are the Voyage by Naghmeh Samini is a reflective and innovative work that redefines the concept of travel beyond geography. Rather than documenting destinations, timelines, or tourist experiences, Samini presents travel as an inner, cultural, and intellectual journey shaped by encounters with people, histories, and social structures. The book explores how movement across borders reveals both shared human experiences and deep cultural differences, inviting the reader to reflect on identity, belonging, and perception. Samini thoughtfully examines the distinctions between being a tourist, a migrant, and a traveler, emphasizing awareness and engagement over consumption. Through a philosophical and introspective lens, the book also contemplates the notion of homelessness, presenting it as an existential state rather than merely a physical condition, and ultimately portrays travel as a means of self-discovery and cultural dialogue.
