"Her Blue Sky" is a manga adaptation by Yaeko Ninagawa, based on the anime film of the same name directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai. The story combines elements of romance, drama, and fantasy, centered around the lives of two sisters, Akane and Aoi Aioi, and their connection to the past and future. The narrative primarily follows Aoi, a high school student and aspiring musician who lives with her older sister Akane. Years earlier, their parents died in a car accident, leading Akane to give up her dreams of leaving their rural town to care for Aoi. The plot thickens when Aoi encounters Shinnosuke "Shinno" Kanamuro, her sister's former boyfriend who was a musician and a significant part of Akane's past. However, Aoi discovers that the Shinno she meets is a younger version from 13 years ago, somehow existing alongside his present-day self.
