Gulistan of Saadi Shirazi
Gulistan is written by the famous Iranian poet Saadi. Gulistan of Saadi is the most influential book of prose in Persian literature. Most of the writings of Gulistan of Saadi are short and in the style of moral stories and advice. Saadi started writing the book Gulistan less than a year after the compilation of Bustan, on May 1, 656 AH. Therefore, Gulistan was written in five or six months, which is like a miracle. Gulistan writing style can be considered as Iraqi in general. This work is written with technical and concise prose as well as relying on Saadi’s personal style. Saadi studied in the Nezamiyeh of Baghdad and then traveled as a preacher to various regions, including the Levant and the Hejaz. Saadi then returned to his hometown of Shiraz and lived there for the rest of his life. His tomb is located in Shiraz, which is known as Saadia. If you are interested in Saadi’s poems, Gulistan of Saadi can be a good choice. This edition of Gulistan of Saadi Shirazi is in Farsi.
