The "Encyclopedia of Iranian People's Culture" by Kazem Mousavi Bojnourdi is a comprehensive project by the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia, initiated in 2008. Despite challenges like a lack of academic specialization in folk culture and limited resources, the project compiled around 3,000 entries based on historical, social, and geographical studies, as well as field research. Covering all historical periods and focusing on both tangible and intangible aspects of Iranian folk culture, the encyclopedia primarily addresses modern Iran's boundaries but occasionally extends to the broader Iranian cultural sphere. Future editions aim to expand this scope further, preserving and documenting the rich traditions of the Iranian people.
