Dreams of My Russian Summers book by Andreï Makine (Farsi)

Description

Dreams of My Russian Summers by Andrei Makine tells the story of young André, who spends every summer with his cherished grandmother, Charlotte Lemonnier, in a village overlooking the vast Russian plains. Through her captivating stories, she transports him to the vibrant world of her childhood in France while also revealing Russia’s harsh realities—famine, injustice, and endless conflict. André weaves these memories with his own imagination, creating a dreamlike vision of a safer, more magical world. Immersed in these tales, he feels both enchanted and alienated in his homeland.
