"Black Silver" is a music album by the renowned Iranian composer Alireza Mashayekhi, known for his innovative approach to combining instruments of similar tonal qualities. This concept was initially explored in his 2015 piece "Medal" for nine double basses and percussion, Opus 242. The success and satisfaction derived from this composition encouraged Mashayekhi to further delve into this method. Consequently, in 2022, he composed "Black Silver," a piece specifically crafted for four violins. This work exemplifies his dedication to creating harmonious soundscapes through the meticulous selection and combination of instruments, highlighting his unique contribution to contemporary classical music.
