Introducing Kalg Traditional Persian Acorn Bread, or as known locally, نان بلوط کلگ, a cherished delicacy from the heart of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. This ancient bread holds a multitude of health benefits, revered as one of nature's remedies for stomach ulcers. Consuming one or two pieces daily aids in the healing of gastric wounds, while having several pieces at intervals can alleviate diarrhea. Handcrafted with care, every step of preparing this bread is done manually, preserving its authenticity and quality. After harvesting and drying the acorns, they're meticulously ground into a paste-like consistency. The acorn paste is then placed in the path of a flowing water source, akin to a natural spring, to sweeten. Once the acorn paste reaches the desired sweetness, village women gather to shape it into small balls, which are then laid out to dry under the warm sun. These dried balls, known locally as "kalg," encapsulate the essence of tradition and are a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
