Naser al-Din Shah was among the monarchs who considered travel an integral part of their governance system, periodically embarking on journeys within Iran or to foreign countries. One of his favored customs was the practice of daily note-taking, and he even went as far as to publish and disseminate these notes. While Naser al-Din Shah did not set out specifically to write travelogues, he had a keen interest in documenting his daily life. As a result, a portion of his daily memoirs coincided with his numerous domestic and foreign travels, thus earning the designation of travelogue. This book presents a travelogue of Naser al-Din Shah's journey to Mazandaran, undertaken in the year 1254 (Hijri calendar).
