Music Of Azerbaijan: Songs & Vocals Music Album
Description
Easter by August Strindberg, written in 1901, is a symbolic and religious drama that explores guilt, shame, and redemption within the Heyst family. Imprisoned for embezzlement, the father is absent, while the daughter, Eleanora, is confined in an asylum. The remaining family members, Mrs. Heyst and her son Elis, struggle with social and moral constraints in a fragile home. Set over three days corresponding to Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Eve, the play uses Christian symbolism to portray hope and renewal. Eleanora’s return with a rare daffodil and the guidance of the creditor Lindquist bring emotional and spiritual rebirth, emphasizing forgiveness, compassion, and redemption.
