Naser al-Din Shah was born in Tabriz. During his reign, he embarked on a pilgrimage to the holy shrines of Karbala and Najaf in Iraq, and the current book presents the report of this journey, written by Naser al-Din Shah himself. In one part of the book, we read: "Today I went to the slaughterhouse, on the other side of which 'Habib ibn Mazahir' descends the stairs. It's a very deep room, with a small mirror workshop and paintings. There's a long, wide door in it that's installed on the ground level. Inside it is a piece of land. It's a pit where Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, fell from his horse to the ground, kneeling to the holy tomb. During my visit, I walked around the courtyard. The late Sultan Abdul Majid Khan's mother, Saqakhaneh, has been turned into a kitchen for the staff. They serve water and syrup to the visitors."
