The first travelogue of Naser al-Din Shah to Europe, specifically to France in the year 1290 AH, provides a detailed account of his journey. The Shah embarked on his trip from Tehran on the 21st of Safar, accompanied by a retinue. Throughout his travels, he meticulously recorded all that transpired, documenting events with precise dates. His expedition concluded upon his return to Iran in the month of Rajab. In this travelogue, the Shah recounts his visit to the Louvre Palace in Paris, where he encountered a gathering of scholars and intellectuals. Among them was the Minister of Sciences, a distinguished individual named "Batbi." As they explored the palace, they encountered both ancient and modern marble statues. The Shah describes the grandeur of the sculptures, particularly highlighting a monumental marble statue seated against a mountain.
