Description
The Crows of Pearblossom by Aldous Huxley is an illustrated children’s story and the author’s only short story written for young readers. The story centers on a pair of crows who live high atop a tall pine tree, while an old, lazy rattlesnake makes his home in a hole at the tree’s base. Each day, when the crows are away, the snake sneaks into their nest and eats their eggs for breakfast. Frustrated by this daily theft, Mrs. Crow hatches a clever and creative plan to outwit the cunning snake. Through its playful narrative, engaging illustrations, and charming characters, the story teaches young readers important lessons about ingenuity, resourcefulness, and perseverance, all while delivering humor and suspense in a lighthearted way.
