"Prodigy" is the second book in Marie Lu's "Legend" trilogy, following the first book, "Legend." The novel continues the story of June Iparis and Daniel "Day" Wing in a dystopian future where the Republic of America is in turmoil. The trilogy is set in a world divided between the privileged elite and the oppressed citizens, exploring themes of government corruption, rebellion, and social inequality. In "Prodigy," June and Day find themselves caught up in the larger political struggles of the Republic. After the events of the first book, they join the rebel group known as the Patriots in an attempt to bring about change. As they navigate the challenges of their new roles and face external threats, they also grapple with their feelings for each other and the consequences of their actions.
