
The fifth volume of the Naser al-Din Shah Qajar Memoirs Newspaper, preserved in the manuscript treasury of the Golestan Palace Museum, covers the period from Jumada al-Awwal 1312 AH to Dhu al-Qadah 1313 AH. In the introduction, edited by Majid Abdamin and Nasrin Khalili, Naser al-Din Shah is esteemed as one of Iran's most industrious and literate monarchs. Many of his handwritten documents, stored in private and public archives, have been published following extensive research. Numerous other handwritten copies exist in archives, awaiting scholarly attention. Naser al-Din Shah Qajar reigned as Iran's monarch from September 5, 1848, until May 1, 1896, when he was assassinated. He was the son of Mohammad Shah Qajar and the third longest-reigning monarch in Iranian history after Shapur II of the Sassanian dynasty and Tahmasp I of the Safavid dynasty.
