The Homecoming is a play by Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter, first published in 1965. In an old, dilapidated house in North London, a family of men live: Max, the eldest member of the family, an aggressive old man; his younger and useless brother, Sam; and two of Max's three sons, none of whom are married. Max's eldest son, Teddy, has spent the past six years teaching philosophy in America and is now bringing his wife, Ruth, to his father's house for the first time. As the story progresses and Teddy and Ruth arrive home, everything takes a different turn and many strange things happen.
