
"Film: Cinema Magazine," known as the "Film" magazine, is the oldest and most influential film publication in Iran. Celebrating its 40th anniversary with issue No. 587 in February 2022, it holds the distinction of having the largest readership among specialized cinema publications in the country. The magazine began its journey in 1982 under the name "Cinema in Video," and rebranded to its current name a year later in 1983. Masoud Mehrabi served as the managing editor and proprietor from the magazine's inception until his passing in September 2020, after which Pooya Mehrabi took over the role. Notably, in 2013, a complete software archive of 30 years of "Film" magazine was released on six DVDs, providing a comprehensive digital resource for cinema enthusiasts and researchers.
