Dargah Music Album by Issa Ghaffari is a collection of rhythmic and vocal pieces composed specifically for the setar, based on Issa Ghaffari's 2017 concert performance. A special interest in the rhythmic components of the album was the initial inspiration, with the second being the complexities and abundant possibilities of the "Chahargah" mode, which motivated the creation and performance of "Dargah." "Dargah" offers a fresh perspective on the Chahargah mode, encompassing a wide spectrum of traditional Iranian music performance styles. It includes pieces like "Naghmeh" and "Basteh Negar," which adhere strictly to classical principles and the traditional "radif" structure, alongside modulations to "Owj" and "Abu'ata," as well as performances like "Bozorg" and "Kuchak," which deviate from the classical execution of Chahargah in unprecedented ways.
