"Why Don't They Arrest You, and What Happens in the End?" is the latest book by Dr. Sadegh Zibakalam, a well-known figure and professor at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Tehran. In introducing this book, the author himself writes: "So many times in this world, they've asked me, 'What happens in the end?' and 'Honestly, why don't they arrest you?' Sometimes I suffer from melancholy and think that in that other world too, on the first night in the grave, before other questions, they'll ask me the same things. At first, the subject of the book was supposed to be separate from these two questions, the experience of my doctoral period in England (1984-1991), and how I abandoned engineering and pursued humanities and worked on the 1979 Revolution. But after returning to Iran, so many different incidents happened to me that I regret not writing about them.
