Jon Klassen

Jon Klassen CM is a Canadian author and illustrator of children’s books and an animator. He began his career as a film animator before moving to the world of children’s book illustration. In 2013 he won the Caldecott Medal for his illustrations for This Is Not My Hat (2012), a book that he also wrote. Feeling a connection between animation and illustration, Klassen became interested in working with children’s books, and his foray into the literary world was a success from the beginning.
