Al-Amali Book by Al-Shaykh al-Saduq 2 Vols
Al-Amali’s book is the result of several meetings that Sheikh Saduq spelled two days a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, from the 18th of Rajab in 367 AH to the 11th of Sha’ban in 368 AH in the holy city of Mashhad, and his students wrote.
Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn Babawayh al-Qummi, commonly referred to as Ibn Babawayh or al-Shaykh al-Saduq was a Persian Shia Islamic scholar whose work, entitled Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, forms part of The Four Books of the Shia Hadith collection. The patronymic, Ibn Babawayh indicates a Persian origin, as Babawayh is an Arabic form of the Persian name Babuyah. For some length of time, unknown, the family had been devout adherents of Shia Islam. Ibn Babawayh’s father, Ali ibn Babawayh Qummi (d. 939 CE) was a leading figure among the Islamic scholars of Qom.
