Saddle bags or Tōbrag were used by Iranian nomadic People and placed on the backs of animals to carry goods. These bags also called Khorjin, are woven in the same way as a Kilim rug. Iranians Used Tōbrag or Khorjin in transportation for the storage of exquisite and precious items. Since the texture of the Tōbrag is like a handwoven rug, it has a history and artistic value like a Persian kilim rug. Nowadays Khorjins are much less woven because they are no longer used as in the past. But the old Saddle bags still exist and because they are less woven than in the past, each one is a unique work of art.
