The Persian alphabet or Persian script is a writing system used for the Persian language spoken in Iran and Afghanistan. The Persian language spoken in Tajikistan is written in the Tajik alphabet, a modified version of Cyrillic alphabet since the Soviet era.
The Eastern Arabic numerals are used in conjunction with the Arabic alphabet in the Perso-Arabic script. The shapes of the Persian digits four (۴), five (۵), and six (۶) are different from the shapes used in Arabic.
