William Glasser

William Glasser was a psychiatrist from the United States of America. Glasser was considered to be an extension of W. Edwards Deming’s workplace ideas, reality therapy and choice theory.  He was against the common principles and rules among psychiatrists who, instead of focusing on classifying mental syndromes as mental disorders, were quick to prescribe drugs for the individual. Glaser also believes that by moving away from counseling-based treatment models, psychiatrists have escaped the root treatment of diseases and only manage the complications of diseases. Also, Glasser applied his theories to broader social issues, such as education, management, and marriage, to name a few. We have collected a treasure of his books in ShopiPersia.
